Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya—The provincial government has suspended its hospital fees benefits and granted 20 percent discount for its medical laboratory fees to lessen the burden of villagers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The suspended hospital fees benefits are the consultation fee in outpatient departments, medical certification fee, and non-medico legal fee.
The discount also covers the diagnostic and laboratory examination fees such as blood chemistry and Hepatitis B Vaccine, drugs, medicines and take-home medications prescribed to in-patients or outpatients, among others.
The suspension and discounts will be implemented among the provincial government-operated and managed hospitals.
These are the Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Hospital (NVPH) in Bambang, Dupax District Hospital (DDH) in Dupax del Sur, Lt. Tidang Memorial Hospital (LTMH) in Kayapa, Kasibu Municipal Hospital (KMH), the Diadi Emergency Hospital (DEH), and the Provincial Integrated Health Office (PIHO). Ben Moses Ebreo
The suspension of fees and discount was made through Tax Ordinance No. 2020-016 by the provincial board.
“This ordinance will somehow unburden our fellow Novo Vizcayanos in coping up with the adverse effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in our province,” provincial board member Nestor Sevillena said.
