Legazpi City—The city government here has allowed food vendors to resume selling, provided they observe health and safety protocols in an orderly system.

Mayor Noel Rosal, in an interview on Tuesday, said that there are recommended guidelines to be observed and complied with by the vendors who were given locations at the side of Peñaranda Park in Old Albay and Happy Lane in this city.

In the guidelines stipulated in the mayor’s advisory on Monday, the prescribed protocols include the wearing of face mask and face shield, hair cap and gloves at all times, regular hand washing, and regular disinfection of their stalls.

Vendors or helpers who manifest coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) symptoms shall not be allowed to work. Food take-out policy shall be implemented.

“There should be no tables and chairs for consumers within the vicinity. Food should be properly wrapped already, except those that need to be freshly cooked,” Rosal said.
