Calamba, Rizal—In line with the upcoming opening of Calamba Medical Center’s new Calamba Cancer Center with a First Advanced Linear Accelerator machine and chemotherapy clinics, the hospital recently held a Cancer Summit at the Calamba Tent.
As part of its Post-Graduate Summit on Cancer, CMC aims to impart cancer awareness and educate participants in various topics on how to diagnose, prevent, and manage the dreaded illness.
The use of a radiotheraphy machine, which can help stop growing cancer cells was introduced by specialist Dr. Jose Ruel Resubal.
The cancer summit was organized by CMC Medical Services Organization with Dr. Mico Galicia as President and coordinated by hospital Head Pathologist Dr. Jen Babasa Torres.
Looking forward to a new milestone for CMC this year is the grand opening of the Calamba Cancer Center, with Dr. Salvador Luis Villanueva, Onco Gynecologist, poised to become the biggest Cancer Center in the South.
