Bambanti 2024 convenes inaugural local executive meeting

ILAGAN CITY, Isabela – The Provincial Government of Isabela (PGI) called the Bambanti 2004 First Local Chief Executive Meeting at Balai, Provincial Capitol Compound on Nov. 21 to ensure the success of the upcoming festival.

Vice Governor Faustino “Bojie” G. Dy III, director general of the Bambanti Festival 2024, urged the municipal and city mayors to fully engage in the wide range of activities planned for the Bambanti Festival in 2024.

“Mayors, let’s support one another to create a successful Bambanti event next year,” he said.

Dy sought to foster collaboration and highlight the importance of the mayor’s engagement to the dazzling showcase of the Bambanti Festival.

Meanwhile, Provincial Tourism Officer Joanne Dy-Maranan unveiled the 2024 Bambanti theme, “Ettam Ngana Ta Isabela.” This tourism marketing campaign encourages travelers to discover, enjoy, and appreciate Isabela’s treasures.

Maranan stated: “We will feature this year kung ano yung kamangha-mangha sa Isabela , encouraging mayors to incorporate these marvels into their booths, dances and showdowns, emphasizing the potential to attract tourists to the province.”

Dy announced a substantial subsidy for mayors who participate in all contested events to incentivize and reward their enthusiastic participation would receive an amazing P300,000 grant from the PGI. Among these are the much awaited Street Dance and Dance Showdown Competition, Bambanti Booth, Giant Scarecrow, Search for Queen Isabela 2024, and the Makan ken Mainum cookfest, among others.

Two categories will be used for the Bambanti Festival 2024 competition: Category A for cities and first-class municipalities, and Category B for municipalities from second to fifth class.

At the end of the competition, an overall champion will be named, regardless of the category. One million pesos’ worth of projects will be granted as the main prize to the overall champion, while projects valued at P750,000, P500,000, P300,000, and P100,000 will be given to the runners-up from second through fifth place, respectively.
