In a recent Facebook post, Carmona Mayor Dahlia Loyola announced that Carmona topped the 2022 Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit of the Department of the Interior and Local Governance (DILG) and the Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC).
“Tayo po ay hinirang na top 1 sa buong rehiyon ng CALABARZON para sa ating natanggap na mahigit na 100 percent rating sa nasabing audit (We were nominated as top 1 in the entire region of CALABARZON for the fact that we received more than 100 percent rating in the said audit),” Loyola said in her post.
She added that this recognition proves how the local government continues to respond to a child-sensitive and child-friendly community by supporting the well-being, education, and overall development of the youth sector.
The Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA) is a performance audit system that assesses the local government units’ delivery of necessary social welfare services for the child and youth.
It evaluates LGUs using five indicators: survival, development, protection, participation, and governance.
