Pineda reports accomplishments in first 100 days

San Fernando, Pampanga—Pampanga Gov. Dennis Pineda shared his solid accomplishment in different fields in his 100 days in office as contained under the Executive-Legislative Agenda of 2020-2022 of the province.

The accomplishments were realized with the cooperation of the 3,674 provincial employees, provincial board, regional officers, police authorities and the nongovernment organizations, Pineda said.

“I have to prioritized improving or organization because this is the machinery I am going to use to accomplish my mission in helping the people.” he said.

In his report to the people, the accomplishments include his signature projects like education wherein the provincial government will spend a total of P180 million for expansion of the three satellite campuses of Don Honorio Ventura State University, construction of school buildings and financial assistance of about 24,657 beneficiaries.

In the field of infrastructure, a total amount of P364 million will be spent in the completion of project including roads, bridges, a multi-purpose building while another project worth P66.55 million are earned mark for another set of process, the report said.

While the provincial government is spending several million pesos, it also earning of P122.4 million as a result of an effective guidelines and strict implementation of quarry operations.

The report also said that the provincial government spend P132.7 million in PhilHealth that benefitted 109,859 patients, P32.7 million in form of medical assistance and P47.8 million for PhilHealth collection.

Senior citizens, people with disabilities and indigenous people numbering about 22,493 received a total of P13.34 million in financial assistance from the provincial government.

To assure the food security of province, the governor said were spent on P27.3 million for agricultural modernization program and distributed about 12,240 seedlings that served 29,780 farmers and livestock owners in the province.

There is also an increase of employment of at least 42,338 within the 100 days period through the helPof the Local Public Employment Services Offices while 27,825 job opportunities have been provided livelihood with the helPof the provincial office of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

In the illegal drugs campaign of the provincial government, about 637 drug pushers and users, 132 wanted persons and 39,169 violators were arrested by the police authorities during the same period. The provincial government also constructed different police stations worth P22.41 million.

For disaster mitigation, a command and control center of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) is now under construction worth P91.75 million to better serve the people during disaster and training of 6,964 persons for the same purpose.

The report added 6.7-kilometer waterways have desisted worth P13.89 million as part of the preparedness.
