Mayor Yuri Pacumio of Tanza, Cavite and Councilor Icel Del Rosario recently treated persons with disabilities at one of the popular fastfood chains along Macapagal Boulevard in Parañaque City.
Pacumio and “municipal mom” Del Rosario treated them to snacks along with their chaperons and handed over Christmas gifts to hundreds of PWDs.
The municipal officials also treated all barangay officials led by Association of Barangay Chairman Federation President Simon “SM” Matro in a simple Christmas get-together with Cavite 6th District Rep. Luis A. Ferrer IV.
The Christmas gift giving for PWDs is an annual project of Pacumio since he assumed office in cooperation with General Trias native Ferrer.
In General Trias City, the city government led by Mayor Antonio “Ony” Ferrer has offered a P200,000 cash reward for any information that can help solve the killing of a mother and daughter in a subdivision in Barangay Navarro here. according to Police Supt. Sandro Jay Tafalla, city Chief of Police.
Supt. Tafalla revealed that Mayor Ferrer offered the bounty for the immediate arrest of the killers of Ruby Gamos, 37, and her daughter Shaniah, 7.
Local police have identified at least four persons of interest in the case.
The victims were found lifeless in their house in Barangay Navarro last Dec. 10, a few days after their relatives failed to contact them.
Tafalla said police investigators found no sign of forced entry into the Gamos house.
