DOH launches Purokalusugan program in Dilasag, Aurora

TO bring healthcare services closer to the communities, the Department of Health (DOH) rolled out its newest primary healthcare program dubbed Purokalusugan, initially launched at Purok 1, Brgy. Diagyan, Dilasag, Aurora.

The program’s primary healthcare services covered immunization, oral health, maternal health, tuberculosis control, nutrition, non-communicable disease prevention and control, and environmental and sanitation services.

The initiative is a collaboration among the DOH, the provincial government of Aurora, the local government unit of Dilasag, and other partner-stakeholders.

During the launch, representatives from the Department of Education, the Department of Social Welfare Development indigenous community groups, and the religious sector manifested their commitment to sustain the program.

The PuroKalusugan aligns with one of the DOH’s Eight-Point Action Agenda, “Bawat Pilipino Ramdam ang Kalusugan”, dahil sa Bagong Pilipinas, Bawat Buhay Mahalaga.

During the launch, the DOH was represented by Universal Health Care-Health Services Cluster Area 1 Undersecretary Maria Rosario Singh-Vergeire, Central Luzon Center for Health Development regional director Corazon Flores and her assistant, Lailani Mangulabnan.
