The Clark Development Corp. and the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development are targeting to construct 50,000 housing units in Clark in Central Luzon.

Housing czar Jose Rizalino Acuzar and CDC president and chief executive officer Agnes Devanadera signed a memorandum of understanding to formalize the housing project partnership under President Marcos’ flagship Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) program.

Acuzar said by creating economic opportunities in Clark, it could attract more businesses, workers, and residents from the nearby areas, including the National Capital Region, thereby addressing urbanization.

“Through this MOU, we can maximize the potential of Clark in terms of pursuing township developments under 4PH, hence, triggering economic activities there,” Acuzar said. “Clark is one of the areas where expansion of development outside the National Capital Region is very ideal. Apart from its proximity to Metro Manila, it already has modern infrastructures that are necessary in a sustainable township,” he added.
