DAR gives away 12.5 hectares of land to 5 Mindanao agrarian beneficiaries

THE Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has recently distributed 12.5 hectares of agricultural lands to five agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Sultan Kudarat, Soccsksargen in Mindanao , plus  free agrarian legal aid if need be.

The distributed lands covering properties from the town of Bagumbayan were implemented under the Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) project involving the parcelization of lands and issuance of individual land titles to previously awarded lands through collective certificates of landownership award.

The legal support dubbed Agraryo Abogado Todo Serbisyo sa Benepisyaryo was a free legal assistance for DAR certifications, deed of conveyance and affidavits, land clearance and transfer action requirements, free consultation for the execution of leasehold contracts, and land tenure improvement, condonation response desk, orientation on the rights of ARB organizations, support services as well as   their products.

The undertakings were DAR’s participation in Sultan Kudarat’s Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair as part of its commitment to advancing agrarian reform in the Philippines, in partnership with the provincial government of the province.

Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez spearheaded the event.
