“I am determined to ensure that our Grand Vision for Pasay becomes a reality. The first ECO City in the Philippines! An EcoCity that is both ecologically and economically Dynamic–this is part of the master plan designed to improve services, revenues, and overall well-being of our residents,” said Pasay City Mayor Imelda “Emi” Calixto-Rubiano during the city’s flag ceremony last August 7, led by the Urban Development and Housing Office (UDHO).

Additionally, this goal aims to transform Pasay into a sustainable city using smart city technologies to create more employment opportunities, paving the way for new job opportunities to increase the city’s revenues and improve public services.

Calixto-Rubiano also welcomed and thanked the presence and arrival of Senator Bong Go, recalling his concern for the Pasayeños by providing services like the Malasakit Center at the Pasay City General Hospital and immediate aid to those in need.

The Mayor also acknowledged the role of the UDHO in providing decent housing for the people of Pasay, which she called In City Projects, as it equipped residents with a new home for residents while fulfilling the EcoCity vision.

She once again invited the staff and Pasayeños to unite and celebrate her birthday as a family.

Besides the senator, actor Philip Salvador was also present. He was greeted by the mayor, Congressman Tony Calixto, Vice Mayor Ding del Rosario, the City Council, and staff of city government offices.
