House Committee on Higher and Technical Education ok’d TESDA center in San Mariano

San Mariano, Isabela – The Committee on Higher and Technical Education has approved House Bill No. 3679 that seeks to establish a   Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Training and Assessment Center in San Mariano, Isabela.

Rep. Christopher S. Go, of the 2nd district of the province of Isabela said, when enacted into law will open opportunities to those in need for skills development and training.

Populace in the second district will be given an access to a high-quality technical and vocational education and skills development with less cost in traveling to another training center.

The center will cater to everyone especially the youth who are willing and able to learn skills as we aim to produce highly technically proficient workers that will make them employable locally and abroad, Rep. Go emphasized.

The lawmaker cited that he has been a part in the House of Congress in the ratification of relevant laws in the third and final reading led by House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez. This included House Bill 206 (Lowering the optional retirement age of government workers from 60 to 56 years), HB No. 6574 (Basic Education Mental Health and Well-Being Promotion Act), HB No. 5702 (Agrarian and Agricultural Loan Restructuring and Condonation Act), HB No. 6505 (Renewing the franchise granted to the Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation (IBC) for another 25 years), House Bill 6572 (Public Schools of the Future in Technology Act (PSOFT) Act), HB 6630 (Local Universities and Colleges Governance Act), House Joint Resolution 14, (Extending the life of Congressional Oversight Committee on Dangerous Drugs); and  HB 6680 (Mandating full insurance coverage to farmer-beneficiaries of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program or CARP).

For this year 2023, the young solon has joined in the deliberation of priority measures in the House of Congress as it paces for the passage of House Bills into law in support to the plans and programs for the general public of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr, administration.
