The Caloocan City government, led by Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan, is scheduled to launch a Mega Job Fair on Tuesday, August 16, from 10:00 AM-4:00 PM at 3rd floor, SM Grand Central with over 6,000 local and overseas job vacancies from 40 of its partner agencies.

The Public Employment Service Office (PESO), thru the Department of Labor, partnered with various corporations including SM Supermarket, Puregold, Ignite Careers, Ravago Equipment Rental, and Concentrix, among others, to provide opportunities for Caloocan City residents with vacancies for high school-level to college graduates.

In line with this effort, PESO Officer-in-charge Violeta Gonzales emphasized that the process shall be easier and seamless, applicants are also to be hired-on-the-spot similar to the department’s local recruitment activity.

Mayor Along urged the job-seekers in the city to apply, highlighting that this program is one of the city government’s plan of action to mitigate the impact of the crisis.

At the same time, there will also be a “One Stop Shop” for other government offices during the said job fair which comprise services from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Social Security System (SSS), PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG Fund, and Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), which are also open for job-seekers and the general public.

The next Mega Job Fair is scheduled on August 26, to be held at Caloocan Sports Complex, to cater more residents in North Caloocan.
