Coconut Planting Day

Senator Cynthia A. Villar, chairperson of the Philippine Senate Committee on Agriculture and Food, joins the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA), in partnership with DOST-PCAARRD, in marking the 1st National Coconut Planting Day on Wednesday. The activity showcased the DOST, PCAARRD and PCA technologies for the production of quality planting materials, including the coconut hybridization program, macapuno embryo culture technology, and the coconut somatic embryogenesis technology (CSET).
