A total of 18 marijuana plantation sites were discovered by anti-narcotic operatives at Barangay Loccong, Tinglayan, Kalinga after a three-day operation on July 23-25, 2019. The plantation sites with a total land area of 18, 300 square meters had a total of 251, 500 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants with a total market value of P50, 300, 000.00 that were uprooted and burnt onsite. This is the first eradication operation conducted by operatives in the Region Cordillera for the second semester in the Province of Kalinga for this year under PDEA-CAR Oplan: ‘Linis Barangay Xiii‘ and PNP Oplan: ‘Green Pearl Delta.‘ The successful operation was made through the joint efforts of PDEA-CAR Provincial Offices Kalinga and Apayao, PDEA RO1, PDEA RO2, PDEA 4B, Tinglayan Municipal Police Station, Kalinga Police Provincial Office, PDEU/ PIB, KPMFC 1st and 2nd COY, and RMFB 1503rd COY.
