New Nestle plant

Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez (second from left) leads the inauguration of Nestle’s P2.8-billion manufacturing facility in Tanauan City. The ready-to-drink plant, which produces Chuckie, is an expansion project of Nestle’s 27-hectare facility in the city. It has generated 2,000 jobs during its construction and employs 80 staff for its operations. Lopez expressed his appreciation to Nestle for producing 94 percent locally of what they sell in the country. The Tanauan factory also manufactures other Nestle products such as milk and coffee creamer.
