Toyota’s solar array

Toyota Motor Philippines Corp. inaugurates its one-megawatt solar array at its manufacturing and assembly plant in Santa Rosa City. The new facility is one of TMP’s major initiatives to minimize carbon footprint and help mitigate the effects of climate change. The ceremonial lights-on of the solar array scale model is led by (from left) TMP executive vice president Tomohiro Iwamoto, TMP president Satoru Suzuki, Meralco president Oscar Reyes and Spectrum president Jose Rainier Reyes.

Manila Standard website (manilastandard.net), launched in August 2002, extends the newspaper’s reach beyond its traditional readers and makes its brand of Philippine news and opinion available to a much wider and geographically diverse readership here and overseas.

Digital Edition

In tone and content, the online edition mirrors the editorial thrust of the newspaper. While hewing to the traditional precepts of fairness and objectivity, MS believes the news of the day need not be staid, overly long or dry. Stories are succinct, readable and written in a lively style that has become a hallmark of the newspaper.
