Petition for mandamus

Children’s health and consumer protection advocates resort to legal action to press the government to issue the long-delayed Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act 10620, or the Toy and Game Safety Labeling Act of 2013 after their repeated demands went unheeded.  A petition for a writ of mandamus was filed at the Quezon City Regional Trial Court by the EcoWaste Coalition, Laban Konsyumer Inc. and mothers for the promulgation of the IRR by the Department of Trade and Industry and the Department of Health.
