Cause-oriented Sanlakas, along with like-minded groups such as the Philippine Alliance of Human Rights Advocates, the Philippine Movement for Climate Justice, the Partido Lakas ng Masa, the Bukluran ng Manggagawang Pilipino, and the Samahan ng Mamamayan–Zone One Tondo Organization, staged a protest rally at the Senate of the Philippines on Monday, Jan. 19, to denounce alleged failure of existing mechanisms to hold t complicit ranking officials accountable, as well as the ‘institutional endorsement of corruption’ through the national budget.
