Association for Philippines-China Understanding (APCU) chairman and president Raul Lambino (right) announces in a news briefing on May 18, 2026 at the Kamuning Bakery Cafe in Quezon City the winners of the Awards for Promoting Philippines-China Understanding (APPCU) for 2026. The awarding rites will be held on June 3, 2026 at Manila Hotel. The awardees are Prof. Carlita Carlos, former National Security Adviser and a consultant of the House of Representatives; Prof. Rommel Banlaoi, former Deputy National Security Adviser; Asian Century Philippines Strategic Studies Institute (ACPSSI) president Herman Tiu Laurel; Zhang Zhaodong, who is getting an honorary award in enhancing agriculture in the Philippines; and Baguio City businessman Peter Ng.
