Ligas Kooperatiba ng Bayan sa Pagpapaunlad (LKBP), founded in 1986 with a modest capital of P15,800 pooled from its 30 founding members, has grown to become a billionaire cooperative, with P2.8 billion in assets and P357 million in capital, with the help of Land Bank of the Philippines.
