Manila Electric Company (Meralco) expands its Eton Centris Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) Substation to cater to the growing power needs of commercial establishments and residential customers in Quezon City. The P201.34-million project involved the installation of a new 83 MVA power transformer, 34.5 kilovolts (kV) GIS, 14.4 megavolt-amperes reactive (MVAR) capacitor bank and four new distribution feeders. The project will serve the growing power demand in the city, including from large-load customers such as Eton Centris, Ayala Vertis North, Alveo Highpark, TriNoma and Solaire Hotel & Casino.
