Don’t abolish Filipino sign language.

Members and supporters of the Philippine Federation of the Deaf stage a protest rally at Liwasang Bonifacio in Manila to call on Commission on the Filipino Language (CFL) to retain the Filipino Sign Language (FSL) unit. The group asserted that abolition of the sign language would deprive deaf Filipinos of their language rights and violate the mandate of the Commission on the Filipino Language Act which aims to develop, propagate, and preserve Filipino and other Philippine languages.
