Maritime asset Gallery Members of the Philippine Coast Guard welcome the arrival of a new multi-role response vessel (MRRV) to add to its maritime assets, the BRP Melchora Aquino arrived at the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) headquarters in Port Area in Manila on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. The vessel is the second 96.6-meter MRRV of the PCG the first one is BRP Teresa Magbanua. The MRRV has a length of 96.6 meters, a maximum speed of not less than 24 knots, and a complement of 67 officers and crew members. She has two 6600 kW diesel engines. It has a helideck and a hangar that can accommodate the helicopter of the PCG. She also has a hyperbaric chamber for those who have diving sickness and a survivor room that can accommodate those who will be rescued.
