Marijuana plantations

Law enforcement units uprooted marijuana plants worth P17,140,000 in five plantations at Barangay Loccong, Tinglayan, Kalinga on Oct. 16 to 18. Aside from the 22,700 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants, 105, 000 grams of dried marijuana stalks were also found. All the illegal plants were destroyed on site. The eradication was implemented under PDEA-CAR Oplan: ‘Linis Barangay XVII’ through the joint efforts of PDEA- CAR Provincial Office of Kalinga and Apayao, PDEA RO1, PDEA RO2, PDEA 4B Marinduque, Tinglayan MPS, 1st and 2nd COY KPFMC and the DEU/PIB Kalinga Provincial Police Office.
