Italian restaurateur Roberto Bellini, the owner of the famous Italian restaurant Bellini’s at Cubao Expo, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 24, at the age of 84.
In a Facebook post, his daughter, Joy, confirmed the news on Monday afternoon, sharing a heartfelt tribute to her father.
“In loving memory of Roberto Grassini Bellini. Honoring the life and legacy of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend,” she wrote.
The post also shared the wake details for Bellini, which is being held at Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City from Nov. 26 to 28. His funeral is scheduled for Nov. 29 at 2 p.m.
Known for its vintage vibes and authentic Italian cuisine, Bellini’s has been a popular Italian spot at Cubao Expo for more than two decades. It gained additional fame as a key setting in Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz’s 2007 hit movie One More Chance.
Bellini is survived by Maria Luisa and their three children, Joy, Jasmine, and Jun.
