High time for high tea

Nestled in the newly opened Lanson Place Mall of Asia Manila is an experience best described as “sophis-tea-cated.”

The tranquil restaurant of Madeleine High Tea, located on the ground floor of the Ballroom lobby, is open only from Fridays to Sundays between 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

It invites guests to partake in an intimate, bayside tea party tucked away in the premier destination of Lanson Place.

The venue’s enhanced plush seating and corner-to-corner pastels give off an easygoing ambience, creating the ideal backdrop for small gatherings, business meetings, and classic R&R.

“High tea is a time for conversation,” Madeleine welcomes its patrons. “As you savor its serene atmosphere with friends, you can sample its premium teas, innovative pastries, and cakes that blend traditional and contemporary high tea flavors.”

Here, guests can choose from a meticulously crafted selection of premium teas sourced from Agusan Del Norte, which are accompanied by cakes and pastries that blend classic and modern high tea flavors.

These include Earl Grey, Chamomile, Mint, Long Black, Americano, Cappuccino, Latte, Hello Sunshine, Merry Berry, Oasis, Forest Pearl, Golden Monkey, and Peach Oolong.

Nature’s Apothecary carefully concocted these teas to balance natural flavors and aromas with traditional and contemporary high tea elements.

Patrons can also choose from three sets of sweet and savory treats: Traditional, Contemporary, and Signature. For instance, the Signature set includes mini truffle chicken bao buns, mini siu bao, shrimp toast, fish and asparagus pillow puffs, coconut peanut mochi, Hong Kong egg tarts, mango pudding, tea cookies, flavored pineapple bun, and mooncake.

“Our goal is to provide a space where guests can relax and connect, whether they’re here for business or leisure,” Lanson Place’s Director of Food and Beverage Deczle Enriquez said.
