The Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas, the Senate slate backed by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., will hold a major rally on Friday, February 28, in San Jose del Monte (SJDM), a rapidly growing component city in vote-rich Bulacan province.
Navotas City Rep. Toby Tiangco, Alyansa’s campaign manager, said the event at City College of San Jose Del Monte Grounds is part of the administration coalition’s nationwide push for good governance, economic empowerment and social justice.
Bulacan, one of the country’s most vote-rich provinces, has 2,173,026 registered voters for the May 2025 midterm elections, making SJDM a crucial stop in Alyansa’s campaign.
The Alyansa ticket includes former Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos, Makati City Mayor Abby Binay, Senator Ramon Bong Revilla, Senator Pia Cayetano, former Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson, Senator Lito Lapid, Senator Imee Marcos, former Senator Manny Pacquiao, former Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, Senator Francis “Tol” Tolentino, ACT-CIS Representative and former Social Welfare Secretary Erwin Tulfo, and Deputy Speaker Camille Villar.
Tiangco said the slate is committed to addressing local development concerns, including improving urban mobility and ensuring the timely completion of the Metro Rail Transit Line 7 (MRT-7), which promises to enhance connectivity and economic activity in the area.
“The people of SJDM deserve leaders who take decisive action. We will work to ensure infrastructure projects like the MRT-7 move forward efficiently to benefit commuters and businesses.”
The completion of the MRT-7, originally set for late 2025, has faced adjustments due to planning refinements and construction requirements.
“MRT-7 will be transformative for Bulacan. Alyansa is committed to ensuring its smooth and timely completion to support the city’s rapid growth,” Tiangco said.
Recognizing SJDM’s economic potential, Alyansa’s legislative agenda includes job creation, business growth, and infrastructure-driven development.
“The Alyansa slate champions a pro-worker, pro-business agenda. By expanding economic opportunities, we can further elevate SJDM’s role as a key driver of progress in Bulacan,” Tiangco said.
With elections approaching, Alyansa is intensifying its ground campaign, positioning itself as the team that delivers results.
