Piling Obrang Vidyo celebrates 20th anniversary

Piling Obrang Vidyo, a film festival celebrating Filipino culture and stories spearheaded by the University of the Philippines (UP) Cinema, is marking its 20th anniversary this July 1-6, 2024.

The event will take place at the UP Film Institute Film Center, featuring film screenings and an awards ceremony at Cine Adarna.

Under the theme “Tayo Ang Pelikula,” the festival will highlight Filipino culture through films by local talents. This year’s event promises a diverse lineup, from award-winning films to works by emerging filmmakers.

The festival will showcase a diverse range of films, including award-winning entries and works from emerging filmmakers. These films will delve into various aspects of Filipino life, from rural traditions to urban realities, showcasing the depth and diversity of the nation’s storytelling.
