The University of Santo Tomas (UST) recently highlighted the vital contributions of its support staff during two graduation events.

During the UST Faculty of Arts and Letters Solemn Investiture 2024 on Monday, June 10, members of the non-teaching academic staff of the faculty composed of office and general support personnel were honored for their invaluable roles.

During the AB graduation ceremony, 12 staff members joined the procession and received applause from over 700 graduating students.

This heartfelt gesture was captured in a viral video online shared by the student publication, The Flame, emphasizing the broader community’s role in education.

On June 15, the College of Science also honored its non-teaching staff during its formal investiture. The security, maintenance, and support personnel were given their moment of recognition, underscoring UST’s dedication to valuing every member of its educational community.

UST’s recent actions highlight the essential yet often overlooked contributions of non-teaching staff. These efforts ensure the smooth functioning of the university and play a crucial role in the overall success of its students.
