Globe expands 5G services in more countries

Globe Telecom Inc. said Thursday it expanded its 5G partnerships with 156 global partners in 82 destinations, offering customers a transformative travel and connectivity experience, powered by state-of-the-art 5G technology.

“We envision a world where connectivity knows no borders. So as Globe pioneers and expands its reach, both our loyal subscribers and international visitors are offered an unparalleled 5G experience,” said Coco Domingo, vice president of postpaid and international business at Globe.

“With Globe, global connectivity is a lived reality,” he said.

The company now has the most extensive presence in Africa with the addition of Nigeria in partnership with MTN, Mauritius via Cellplus and an anticipated collaboration with Kenya through Africell in the coming weeks.

Asia’s connectivity landscape is also enriched with the inclusion of Kazakhstan and Laos under Globe’s roaming coverage through partnerships with Tele2, and LaoTel, respectively.

Foreign visitors in the Philippines can experience 5G speeds when connected to Globe, made possible through strategic partnerships with several international networks such as Dialog in Sri Lanka, Orange in Egypt and Manx Telecom in the Isle of Man.

Globe also forged new alliances with additional partner networks, ensuring their customers can also relish swift 5G speeds in the Philippines.

These partnerships span several countries: Germany with Emnify and E-Plus Mobilfunk, Hong Kong via China Unicom, Korea through LG Uplus, Malaysia in collaboration with Cellcom and YTL, Norway via Mobile Norway, Sweden with Tele2 and COM4, and Thailand through DTAC.
