The Turf Company, one of the country’s leading distributors of irrigation systems, precision mowing equipment, golf carts and other utility vehicles and allied products, announced the appointment of Juanchit Jose as the company’s new president and COO.
The Turf Company is the Philippines’ exclusive distributor of Toro equipment from the US and is a global leader in maintenance equipment and water-saving irrigation system supplies for commercial and residential gardens, public parks, golf courses, sports fields and agricultural fields; Club Car electric and gas-powered golf cars and UTVs for personal and commercial use; and Orec Mowers, among others.
It is a subsidiary of Techno Holdings Corp., the industry leader in the marketing of some of the world’s leading brands in the F&B, hospitality, sports, golf course maintenance and irrigation systems, health, wellness and skin care industries.
Jose, having worked with multi-brands in various fields, brings to the company years of experience in sales, marketing, operations and distribution.
In this new capacity, he will oversee the company’s overall operations including achieving sales goals and budgets; managing finances; fostering good relationships with clients and principals; ensuring the productivity of all departments and implementing continuous staff training programs.
Among The Turf Company’s projects in 2019 were deliveries of Toro equipment to Eagle Ridge Golf and Country, Forest Hills Golf Club, Manila Southwoods Golf and Counrty Club, Filinvest Mimosa Golf Club, Alabang Golf and Country Club and VMJ Evergreen Golf Maintenance. Club Car fleets, meanwhile, were delivered to Camp John Hay, Filinvest Mimosa Golf Club, Pandera Verde Golf Club and Tagaytay Highlands Golf and Country Club.
The year 2020 promises to be an even more progressive year for The Turf Company with the new management. Under Jose’s leadership, after sales service will be further strengthened through the addition of qualified technicians and the intensive training of the local team both here and abroad so they can be immersed in the operation of new equipment and their technology. The company is also enthusiastic about fostering stronger and more solid ties with principals from different world-class brands. Significant plans in terms of completing major projects this year are also afoot, according to Jose. All these are expected to drive growth for the company in 2020.
Jose is a passionate sportsman and athlete. After playing tennis under a full athletic scholarship at St. Ambrose University in Davenport IA USA, he continued his tennis career and became a certified tennis professional under the United States Professional Teaching Association. He was a teaching pro in different clubs in Los Angeles and Chicago. He is also an avid golfer who has played in tournaments here and abroad. He is a member of Ecostrong, the defending champions in the Orchard Golf and Country Club’s Intra-Club Tournament.
Jose is concurrently the managing director of Finix Corp.—a top distributor of fitness and sports equipment used by the country’s popular hotels, gyms and fitness centers. Finix is also a subsidiary of Techno Holdings Corp.
