Megawide Construction Corp. bagged P9.8 billion worth of construction projects in the first half of the year to boost its order book to P51.7 billion as of end June.
Megawide said the order book from 30 projects is equivalent to two to three years’ worth of revenues.
Among the new projects that the company secured during the first half of the year are Megaworld’s One Fintech Tower, The Corner House, and Suntrust Finance Center and Double Dragon’s Meridian Tower.
“We remain optimistic about the prospects for our construction business for the remainder of the year. With a record order book and strong demand coming from new segments, especially in the precast space, our outlook for the business remains upbeat and positive in 2019 and beyond,” said Megawide chairman and chief executive Edgar Saavedra.
Residential projects comprised 65 percent of total order book followed by office. Commercial and industrial projects accounted for 28 percent, while infrastructure contributed seven percent.
