PAL begins Sapporo flight on December 7

Philippine Airlines said it will mount flights to Sapporo in Japan from Manila by December 7 this year.

PAL president Jaime Bautista said the airline’s newest route—Manila-Sapporo-Manila—aims to serve the growing demand for direct flights to one of Japan’s popular travel destinations, especially Filipino tourists.

He added the new service between Manila and Sapporo would further boost the flag carrier’s presence in Japan.

PAL will deploy its brand new 168-seater Airbus single-aisle A321 NEO aircraft for Sapporo flight.

The airline earlier announced it would fly to New Delhi and Mumbai in India, Seattle, Chicago and a point in Western Europe.

In late October, PAL mounted non-stop flight between Manila and New York.

PAL also entered a code-sharing agreement with Bangkok Airways to expand convenient connections for passengers traveling between Manila and Thailand. Bangkok Airways is PAL’s 15th codeshare partner and its fifth in South East Asia.
