San Miguel Corp., in partnership with the Miss Universe organization, will host a group of Miss Universe national titleholders who competed in the recent 65th Miss Universe pageant, to work alongside the San Miguel Foundation and make a positive impact here and at the world at large.

“The Miss Universe Organization is well-known for its annual pageant but it also has a strong foundation for giving back. The contestants and titleholders are provided a platform and they work closely with various organizations to address critical issues affecting people not only in their home countries but all over the world,” said San Miguel president Ramon Ang.

Miss Universe 2016 Pia Wurtzbach and Miss Philippines 2017 Maxine Medina will lead returning Miss Universe candidates Noelia Freire (Spain), Jamie-Lee Faulkner (Great Britain), Kezia Warouw (Indonesia), Kiran Jassal (Malaysia), Camila Barraza (Kosovo) and Dang Thi Le Hang (Vietnam) at a charity event for children last weekend in Binondo, Manila and in all other events and functions.

San Miguel Foundation, which is celebrating its 45th anniversary, will donate scholarships to Grade One to Senior High School beneficiaries of Hope for Change from Smokey Mountain.

The San Miguel Foundation has long been a strong advocate of education and has spent nearly P200 million in recent years alone for education-related projects, including the construction of classrooms in underdeveloped communities and providing scholarships.
