Aviana Development Corp., a joint venture company of Ayala Land Inc. and the Alcantara Group, teamed up with St. Luke’s Medical Center Inc. to develop a world-class hospital within Azuela Cove, Lanang, Davao City.
Ayala Land said in a statement on its website the joint venture partners signed a memorandum of agreement with SLMC for the development of a hospital in Azuela Cove.
The soon-to-be-launched Azuela Cove is a 25-hectare master-planned, mixed-use community that will include residential low to mid-rise towers, commercial lots, offices, an events venue and a waterside cove that will contain retail components.
“The addition of the hospital will make it very convenient and accessible for Azuela Cove’s resident and work community to meet their healthcare needs,” Ayala Land said.
St. Luke’s already has an existing hospital in Bonifacio Global City, a CBD developed by Ayala Land.
Ayala Land also has its own hospital brand QualiMed, which is in partnership with the Mercado General Hospital Inc.
Azuella Cove is the second master planned community of Ayala Land in Davao. Ayala Land developed Abreeza as the first fully integrated master-planned community in Davao City.
Abreeza Mall offers a mix of popular retail brands and unique homegrown concepts, an office tower integrated with the mall, Abreeza Residences and Seda Abreeza.
Azuela Cove is also one of the three estate developments that Ayala Land plans to launch this year.
The two others are the 250-hectare Evo City in Kawit Cavite and the 35-hectare property between Quezon City and Pasig City, in joint venture with the LT Group of tycoon Lucio Tan.
The three new estate developments will add to Ayala Land’s existing 20 townships across the country.
