Sun Life Global Solutions (SLGS) Philippines, the global capability center (GCC) of the global insurance and asset management leader Sun Life, reinforces its commitment to diversity and inclusion with a comprehensive DEI&B (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) career plan. career plan.

The plan, aligned with Sun Life’s DEI strategy, encompasses the entire employee journey – attracting, developing, engaging, and retaining talent. Programs are informed by employee feedback channels to ensure they address real needs.

SLGS currently boasts 55 percent female employees but aims to increase representation in tech roles. They actively remove hiring bias through university partnerships, resumé writing training, and blind resumes devoid of gender and age information.

SLGS champions disability inclusion by implementing best practices, hiring a PWD resource to actively learn about hiring persons with disabilities.

Additionally, “SunStree,” a women’s network, supports women’s career advancement through mentorship programs while a reverse mentorship program pairs millennial/Gen Z mentors with leaders. The company’s “Allyship Framework” promotes leadership support for inclusion initiatives.
