A number of public, private and business groups asked to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to retain Philippine Economic Zone Authority director-general Charito Plaza.

Plaza received various endorsements for her outstanding performance as head of PEZA. Among the endorsers was the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. headed by its president Dr. Henry Lim Bon Liong, who said that it “gratefully appreciates how director-general Plaza transforms the promotion strategy for export-based investment of PEZA.”

The Semiconductor & Electronics Industries in the Philippines Inc. said that in the past six years, Plaza demonstrated “passion, assertiveness, dedication and diligence in working for the best interest of PEZA locators and country investments.”

The IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines said it, “recognizes and extols the pro-active stance” of Plaza since her Sept. 2016 appointment by former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte. The Confederation of Wearable Exporters of the Philippines said Plaza instituted major policy reforms revolutionizing PEZA to meet the challenging demands of the business environment in the country.

Another valuable endorsement came from the Federation of the Provincial Press Clubs of the Philippines Inc., the Boracay Global Press Corps Philippines Inc. and the Publishers Association of the Philippines Inc. which recently convened for the Local Press Assembly 2022. Led by PAPI chairman emeritus, Johnny Dayang, other signatories in the endorsement were PAPI president Nelson Santos; Allan Sison, president of FPPCPI and broadcaster Rey Langit, BGPCPI president.
