Megaworld Corp. is ramping up its regional office expansion, with more than 51,000 square meters of new office space planned in Bulacan, Bacolod and Davao.
The new projects will rise inside its township developments in key regional growth areas outside Metro Manila to address strong demand for provincial office developments, the property firm said Monday in a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange.
These include the 11-story Northwin Global Tower 1 in Northwin Global City in Bulacan, the four-story No. 5 Upper East Avenue in The Upper East township in Bacolod City and the 16-story One Republic Plaza in Davao Park District.
“Demand for office spaces remains high, particularly outside Metro Manila,” Megaworld head of global offices Francis Roxas said. “We are strategically capturing this rising demand for regional office developments within our townships in Bulacan, Bacolod and Davao.”
In Bulacan, the company recently topped off Northwin Global Tower 1, which will offer nearly 20,000 square meters of leasable office space within the 85-hectare Northwin Global City township along the North Luzon Expressway in Bocaue and Marilao. The office tower is expected to become the first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)-certified building in Bulacan.
Megaworld is also preparing to launch No. 5 Upper East Avenue in Bacolod, which will contribute almost 9,000 square meters of premium office space. This is expected to generate around 10,000 jobs, particularly for the information technology and business process outsourcing sector.
Meanwhile, One Republic Plaza in Davao City will provide about 24,000 square meters of office space once completed in 2028. Megaworld said the building will become its first LEED-registered office development in Mindanao and will feature rainwater harvesting facilities, energy-efficient systems and provisions for electric vehicle parking.
Megaworld is one of the country’s leading office developers and landlords, with nearly 90 office towers and over 1.7 million square meters of office space nationwide.
