Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) has partnered with ACMobility to deploy 500 electric vehicle charging stations across its properties nationwide this year to accelerate EV adoption in the Philippines.
RLC said Monday in a statement that the partnership will help address the lack of reliable charging infrastructure by bringing EV charging facilities to malls, offices, hotels, residential developments and destination estates.
Under the agreement, ACMobility will provide charging technology, operational expertise and access to its EVRO app, which allows users to locate and manage charging services.
“Robinsons Land has always believed in creating developments that are ready for the future and responsive to the needs of the communities we serve,” RLC president and chief executive Mybelle Aragon-GoBio said. “Through GoCharge and our partnership with ACMobility, we are helping make sustainable mobility more practical and within reach while creating long-term value across our properties.”
ACMobility chief executive Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala said the collaboration comes at a crucial time as more Filipinos consider shifting to electric vehicles.
“There is a clear intent among Filipinos to shift to EVs. This is why we at ACMobility are hard at work building the Philippine EV Spine,” Zobel de Ayala said. “With more charging points available from Pagudpud in the north to Pagadian in the south, we will enable worry-free EV-powered drives.”
GoCharge is RLC’s branded EV charging initiative designed to support different EV brands and models through partnerships with charging and mobility providers.
RLC said the initiative will support private EV owners, commercial fleets, tenants, residents, hotel guests and other visitors across its developments.
The company added that GoCharge forms part of its broader sustainability initiatives, which include renewable energy adoption, green building programs, energy efficiency and water management projects.
