Cebu Pacific said Tuesday it expects to carry 30 million passengers in 2025, fueled by the introduction of new domestic and international routes and increased flight capacity.
“We carried 24.5 million passengers last year, and we are expecting a growth rate in the mid-20s this year, not barring any supply chain issues,” Cebu Pacific president and chief commercial officer Xander Lao said.
“So, we expect to grow our passenger numbers by roughly in the mid-20 percent … another 6 million passengers. Maybe 30 million passengers this year,” he said.
The airline unit of the Gokongwei Group carried 24.5 million passengers in 2024, or 17.6 percent higher than 20.9 million it served in 2023.
Cebu Pacific said it would launch direct flights from Clark to El Nido and Coron (Busuanga), giving travelers from the Greater Manila Area and North and Central Luzon more opportunities to explore some of the world’s best beaches and island destinations.
Starting March 30, 2025, Cebu Pacific will operate daily flights between Clark and El Nido and Coron in Palawan, which are known for their stunning white sand beaches, diverse marine life and exciting water activities.
The expansion of the CEB’s Clark hub comes after the airline’s announcement that it would gradually relocate its Cebgo (DG) flights from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to nearby airports, in line with the resolution issued by the Manila Slot Coordination Committee of the Department of Transportation.
Effective March 30, 2025, Cebgo flights for Masbate and Siargao from NAIA Terminal 2 will relocate to Clark International Airport.
With the addition of El Nido, Coron, Masbate, and Siargao to its network, CEB will now operate 15 domestic and international destinations from Clark.
“Cebu Pacific is proud to position our Clark hub as a premier gateway to the Philippines’ most iconic destinations. With its growing network, Clark has become the ideal entry point for travelers seeking to explore the vibrant cities, breathtaking landscapes, and rich cultural heritage our country has to offer. We are committed to making travel more accessible, convenient, and memorable, ensuring every Juan can discover the unparalleled beauty of the Philippines,” Lao said.
