Conglomerate Ayala Corp. said Friday it teamed up with the UP Engineering Research and Development Foundation Inc. (UPERDFI) to boost collaboration in artificial intelligence (AI) and data science.
The partnership will support the UP College of Engineering’s AI Program through scholarships, research funding for graduate students and funding for faculty AI projects, Ayala said in a statement,
The partnership will last until 2026.
“Through the Ayala and Nation-Building Projects, Ayala teams and UP Engineering faculty can collaborate to develop solutions for the most pressing needs of the industry and the nation. Through this collaboration ably supported by Ayala Corporation, we shall endeavor in delivering impactful projects to benefit our country and our people,” said Maria Antonia Tanchuling, dean of the UP College of Engineering.
The conglomerate said it has a dedicated team for data analytics and AI called AC Analytics. It focuses on building data skills, analytics capacity and data solutions for emerging business units.
This helps Ayala create businesses that allow people to thrive.
