Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) newly-appointed president Alfredo Panlilio unveiled the organization’s priorities for 2025, focusing on addressing the seven concerns identified by its members that include corruption, education, the economy, ease of doing business, climate change, cybersecurity and local government engagement.

Panlilio, speaking at the 77th inaugural meeting and induction of new officers Thursday, emphasized MAP’s continued collaboration with the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) to combat corruption and simplify business processes.

“Reducing red tape and eliminating corruption are critical to fostering an enabling environment for businesses to thrive,” he said.

He said that in education, the group would continue its Campaign Against Malnutrition and Child Stunting (CAMACS) and advocate for relevant education and wellness programs to equip the next generation with skills for a competitive economy.

Panlilio also highlighted the need for policy reforms to ensure food security, eliminate corruption and maintain a business-friendly environment.

“Our aspiration is to attract diverse, job-creating investments to benefit more Filipinos,” he said.

Panlilio underscored the importance of sustainable practices, ethical leadership and inclusive growth to build a resilient future for the country.

Recognizing the increasing importance of digital security, MAP is integrating discussions and activities to raise awareness and improve preparedness in the face of cybersecurity threats, ensuring that businesses and stakeholders remain protected.

He said that for 2025, MAP would focus on fostering productive partnerships with local government units (LGUs) to streamline processes, promote development, and address challenges faced by businesses and communities.

The group consolidated its thrusts into four key areas—member engagement, country competitiveness, ESG and shared prosperity, and investing in the youth—to sharpen the organization’s impact on addressing national challenges.
