Filipina brand strategist champions AI as a catalyst for innovation and trust

Ardent Communications (ArdentComm) founder and CEO Ana Pista urged communication professionals to embrace artificial intelligence (AI) as a powerful tool for innovation while prioritizing human creativity and ethical practices.

Speaking to over 200 aspiring professionals at the LSPR Institute of Communication and Business in Indonesia, Pista emphasized the importance of aligning AI strategies with evolving consumer expectations and fostering meaningful connections.

“The true success of AI lies in its ability to amplify human experiences and foster collaboration. AI thrives when it serves as a transparent, ethical, and customer-centric tool that complements human creativity,” Pista told the audience.

Pista pointed to the increasing adoption of AI in the Philippines, referencing the Cisco 2024 AI Readiness Index. The report revealed that 22 percent of Philippine organizations are now fully AI-ready, a 17 percent jump from the previous year. However, she acknowledged that businesses still face challenges in maximizing AI’s potential.

“AI adoption isn’t just about technology; it’s about mindset. While the progress is encouraging, businesses need to overcome hurdles in deployment and optimization,” she explained.

ArdentComm has been at the forefront of AI integration in the communications field. The agency recently collaborated with the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) to host the AI Masterclass in PR & Communications: A Certification Workshop on ChatGPT Strategic Integration.
