The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) said Wednesday it approved the issuance of an authority to purchase motor vehicle (APMV) amounting to P454 million to the Department of Health (DOH) to beef up the country’s healthcare system.
The approval of the APMV is intended for the procurement of 173 units of motor vehicles chargeable against the Health Facilities Enhancement Program (HFEP) of the DOH under the FY 2024 General Appropriations Act (GAA).
It aims to address healthcare delivery gaps and make the country’s facilities and services more accessible.
“The purchasing of additional medical vehicles will surely augment the ongoing structural enhancements of our healthcare system,” said DBM Secretary Amenah Pangandaman.
