EZconn Technology Corp., a leading Taiwanese manufacturer of high-precision optical fiber communication components, cables, connectors and related products, said Wednesday it signed a registration agreement (RA) with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) to establish a manufacturing facility at the Lima Technology Center-Special Economic Zone in Lipa City, Batangas.
PEZA director-general Tereso Panga highlighted the Philippines’ appeal to foreign investors, particularly in the rapidly growing telecommunications and fiber optics industry.
“It also aligns with PEZA’s mission to enhance the competitiveness of the country’s ecozones, fostering inclusive and sustainable development,” he said.
The new facility is expected to begin operations by the first quarter of 2025 and will create over 50 direct jobs initially. With an estimated project cost of P70 million, the facility will produce optical fiber communication products for export to the US, Indonesia and Europe, generating an estimated $3.135 million in annual exports.
EZconn Technology has a strong track record of providing high-quality products and services to export markets.
