The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) on Thursday awarded P200 billion worth of 6- and 13-day term deposit facility (TDF) tenors, with interest rate posting different directions.
It offered both tenors for P100 billion each, up from P80 billion during the auction on Aug. 22, 2024.
The shorter-dated TDF was fully awarded after tenders reached P133.79 billion. Its average rate declined to 6.3033 percent from last week’s 6.3123 percent.
Tenders for the 13-day TDF reached P97.98 billion, which the BSP fully accepted.
Average rate of the longer-dated facility rose to 6.3672 percent from 6.3477 percent last week.
BSP Deputy Governor Francisco Dakila Jr. said bids submitted for the TDF auction this week were within the expected range.
“Looking ahead, the BSP’s monetary operations will continue to be guided by its assessment of prevailing liquidity conditions and market developments,” he said.
