CIAC allows PCSO to establish back-up facility in Clark

Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) and the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) signed an agreement allowing the latter to establish a back-up draw court facility within the Clark civil aviation complex.

The agreement, signed on Aug. 2, 2024 by CIAC president and chief executive Arrey Perez and PCSO general manager Melquiades Robles, grants PCSO the use of a 4,000-square-meter CIAC property along Ninoy Aquino Street.

“This MOA is more than an agreement between two agencies in the service of the people. It is, by necessity, a collaboration to strengthen each other’s most noble functions,” Perez said.

Under the agreement, PCSO will provide CIAC with advertising slots during its broadcasts, support for its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and donate emergency response vehicles for the use of CIAC and its locators.

CIAC said it is committed to supporting PCSO’s expansion and innovation in sweepstakes games.

“[Our facility] should not just be a back-up waiting for disasters but should be equipped with high-end, broadcast quality production equipment which can serve CIAC and the community of Clark, as well,” Robles said.

The backup facility will rise at the former site of the Philippine Red Cross bio-molecular laboratory for COVID-19 testing.
