Cebu Pacific receives three new aircraft from Airbus deal

Cebu Pacific (CEB) has received three aircraft deliveries in quick succession to meet the growing demand for air travel and to enhance its operational capabilities. 

The new aircraft landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), including an A330neo delivered on July 26, and an A320neo and A320ceo delivered on August 3 and 4 respectively.This brings the total number of aircraft received by CEB this year to 10. 

Xander Lao, CEB President and Chief Commercial Officer, said the continuous expansion of their fleet reflects their commitment to providing safe, affordable, and accessible flights for all travelers.

“As the demand for air travel to continues to rise, we are confident that we will be able to cater to more passengers looking to connect with other people or discover new destinations with Cebu Pacific,” he said.

The A330neo and A320neo are the latest-generation aircraft known for their fuel efficiency and reduced noise levels, burning 15 percent less fuel per flight compared to previous models, leading to lower carbon emissions.

Notably, CEB recently announced a landmark agreement with Airbus for the purchase of up to 152 A321neo aircraft, marking the largest aircraft order in Philippine aviation history. 

With a diversified fleet including nine Airbus 330s, 39 Airbus 320s, and 22 Airbus 321s, CEB operates one of the youngest fleets globally, enabling extensive network coverage across the Philippines.
