The Department of Tourism (DOT) Region XI, together with SM Lanang, is bringing back the highly anticipated Davao Dive Expo on its third year.
Dubbed as Mindanao’s premier dive exhibition, the expo takes place from July 5 to 7, 2024 at the Atrium of SM Lanang. It brings together dive enthusiasts, conservation groups and dive establishments to celebrate the underwater wonders of the region and advocate for reef preservation.
“We are excited to welcome everyone to the Davao Dive Expo. This event not only showcases the beauty of Mindanao’s underwater world but also underscores our commitment to marine conservation and sustainable tourism,” said DOT Region 11 director Tanya Rabat-Tan.
This year’s theme, “Dive with a Purpose,” highlights the event’s commitment to marine conservation. Attendees can expect a focus on responsible marine wildlife interaction, sustainable tourism practices and crucial conversations on protecting marine ecosystems.
Partner agencies will present valuable updates, while other renowned speakers will be sharing their insights. Local conservation advocates will also join the discussion, offering a well-rounded perspective on marine protection.
Divers can explore dive destinations across Davao Region, including Samal Island, Mati, Governor Generoso, Baganga and Mabini. Regions 9, 10, 12, 13 and even DOT Region 4A will also be participating, showcasing a wider range of dive experiences for attendees.
